Super Sunday with Football Jesus

CTS has spoken with Football Jesus, and we have combined his selections with some of ours. We are offering all of our prop bets for the big game for free. We are not suggesting you choose every selection, but these are our favorites out of the hundreds of possibilities. Enjoy:

  • Drew Brees MVP has much greater value than Saints ML (+300 vs + 175), and if you think the Saints are going to win Brees is almost automatic for the MVP
  • Brees over 270 yards through the air
  • Mike bell first TD in the game +1600 or Saints 1st TD (+600)… Obviously don’t bet much on either of these, but the best value for any TD bet.
  • First punt ball hits the ground, you are getting a lot for this bet and if the Colts punt the chances of this are great.
  • Over 3.5 Colts rushers, hope for an end-around or a Peyton sneak/kneel down.
  • Colston over 70.5 yards receiving
  • Collie over 4 receptions
  • Garcon over 60.5 yards
  • Brees over 1.5 rushing attempts
  • Both teams combined rushing yards under 200.
  • A 4th down conversion attempt will happen..-200 on most books, great value.
  • Colts ML- best bet, underdogs have only won the game outright 4 of the last 18 times.
  • Colts first half-3
  • Saints commit most turnovers
  • Shockey less than 35.5 rec yards
  • Both teams will not have FG of over 33 yards
  • COLTS will have shortest TD..
  • Total yards for Saints OVER 379…
  • MORE points scored in the 2nd half than the first half…
  • Longest FG in the game will be UNDER 43.5 yards
  • Saints WILL have the lead in the second half..
  • Saints will commit the most penalties,
  • No overtime
  • Addai over 15.5 rushing attempts
  • And of course Tails!

Free Pick in a Strange Place

Load up on the over 44 in the East West Shrine game. With the game coming up we don’t have time to write a long analysis, but as is the case in any All Star game the goal is to put up points. There will be no field position battles or elaborate defensive schemes, 44 should be taken care of early.

Merry Christmas/Free Pick

First of all we would like to wish all of our readers and subscribers a Merry Christmas. To show our appreciation we are giving out our Christmas Day NBA pick for free. There is an excellent slate of games today, and the most anticipated game is between Kobe and LeBron (and Shaq).

The Lakers are playing the best ball in the association hands down. The Lakers have won 16 out of their last 17, have a 16-2 record at home, and Kobe of course loves the challenge of playing against King James. All the experts picking the Cavs are all clinging to the trend that the Lakers are 5-6 since Kobe has been in the NBA, big deal. Well how about the fact that Cleveland has lost 8 of their last 10 games in L.A. In big-stage games no one is better than Mr. Bryant, and his supporting cast is by far the best it’s been since the Big Aristotle left. On stages like this you can throw out trends and when all else is equal, take the home team. However all else isn’t quite equal, here is a breakdown:

Kobe and LeBron essentially cancel each other out (with Kobe being a better closer), advantage Lakers. Mo Williams can be a match-up problem, but with speed like Shannon Brown and Jordan Farmar coming off the bench the Lakers should be able to at least keep him in check. Ron Artest adds a toughness edge that was arguably the reason the Celtics edged out the Lakers two years back, not to mention he is one of the league’s best defenders. Ilgauskas’ outside shooting reeks havoc for some teams, but once again this is where the Lakers’ combination of size and versatility gives them the edge. Down low Andrew Bynum is having his best year averaging 16 and 8, which is certainly more impressive than Shaq’s humble average of 10 and 7. The trends and match-ups point to the Lakers and they are at home. The Lakers will win this game and should do so by at least 6.

Take the Lakers -5.5
