New York Jets @ New England Patriots (-10.5)
The New York Jets defeated the New England Patriots 16-9 in week 2 earlier this season in Tom Brady’s second game back from injury and were on their way to a 3-0 record following a week 3 win against the Titans. Since then, things have changed. Brady’s comfortable in the pocket again, Wes Welker has returned from injury, Sanchez is playing like a rookie, and the Jets have lost five out of their last six with their only victory coming against the Raiders. Tom Brady is in MVP form once again and has thrown for over 300 yards in each of his previous four games. The Jets will not have the same defense they had on the field in week 2. Pro Bowl NT Kris Jenkins is out for the season and LB Vernon Gholston and S Jim Leonhard will likely miss this game due to injury. In terms of streaks the Pats are 20-1 since 2003 following a loss and undefeated in the past three seasons. Also, the last time the Patriots lost (20-17 in OT at Den in week 5) they followed it up with a 59-0 drumming of the Tennessee Titans. Look for Welker to open up the field for Moss and allow Brady to have a big day. Defensively, New England will force Sanchez to beat them through the air which will not happen against the NFL’s seventh ranked pass defense on the road.
Take the Pats minus the points
